Kim Guadagno has served several different roles during her seven-plus years in Gov. Chris Christie's administration.
Not only is she the lieutenant governor, but she also serves as secretary of state as well as head of the governor's red tape review commission and the administration's business outreach and economic development programs.
But the job Guadagno often seems most proud of is her role as chairwoman of the state's Military Installation Growth and Development Task Force, which helps oversee and coordinate strategy among the many stakeholders working to protect and enhance New Jersey's military bases, among them Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst.
"I'm a military mom, so this is personal," Guadagno said last week in an interview, citing her eldest son, who graduated from the Air Force Academy and is training to become an F-16 fighter pilot.
