Kim Guadagno Endorsed By Monmouth County Republican Party

The Monmouth County Republican Party voted at their convention Saturday to endorse Kim Guadagno for New Jersey governor and award her the official Republican party line on the June 6th primary ballot. Guadagno, who lives in Monmouth Beach and served as Monmouth County's first female sheriff from 2008-2010, now has the official Republican Party line or slogan in three of the four most Republican counties in New Jersey: Monmouth, Ocean and Morris.

"No one knows Monmouth County better than Kim Guadagno and she will be a fantastic governor," said Sheriff Shaun Golden, who also serves as chairman of the Monmouth County Republican Organization. "Kim was an outstanding sheriff to the people of Monmouth County and no one in this race can even come close to her anti-tax, pro-law enforcement bona fides. She raised her three kids in Monmouth Beach with her husband, Mike, and she lived through Hurricane Sandy like the rest of us. Simply put: she understands the challenges and opportunities facing Monmouth County families."

Guadagno's husband, Mike, was born and raised in Monmouth county. Her oldest son, Kevin, is a second lieutenant in the United States Air Force having graduated from the Air Force Academy in 2015. Kevin is recently completed training to be a fighter pilot at Vance Air Force Base in Oklahoma. Guadagno's second son, Michael, is a junior at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire and her youngest son, Anderson, is a sophomore in high school.

Golden added, "There is another Monmouth county resident running for governor this year, but with a very different plan and vision for our state's future. Phil Murphy will raise taxes on families, add regulations and send businesses and jobs fleeing for other states while Kim will lower taxes, audit Trenton and attract jobs to New Jersey. Kim will set the right priorities in Trenton to make our state better for businesses and more affordable for everyday working families."

"It is such an honor to have the endorsement from my very own home county Republican party," said Kim Guadagno. "When my husband and I decided to raise our family in Monmouth County, I never would have imagined I'd be here today. I'm running for governor for the very same reason I ran for a nonpartisan office in Monmouth Beach in 2005: to make our state and our communities better. With the wind at our backs, we're ready to win the Republican primary and defeat the tax and spend Democrats in November."

Guadagno has earned the official Republican Party ballot line or slogan in Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Hudson, Monmouth, Morris, Ocean, Passaic, Salem and Warren counties. She was also recommended by the Bergen County Republican Organization's Policy Committee to receive the county organization's endorsement.
