Atlantic County Republicans Back Kim Guadagno for Governor

The Atlantic County Republican Party overwhelmingly voted Saturday to endorse Kim Guadagno for New Jersey governor and award the county's official Republican line to Guadagno on the June 6th primary ballot.

Kim Guadagno won with 82% with 917 votes, while Hirsh Singh received 157 votes and Jack Ciattarelli received 49 votes.

"To create a better New Jersey, our next governor needs to lower taxes, audit Trenton and elect an independent attorney general who will restore trust in our state government," said Lieutenant Governor Kim Guadagno. "This important win shows that our campaign has the grassroots energy and momentum behind us as the June 6th Republican primary quickly approaches."

"Kim Guadagno is the best candidate that will bring jobs to Atlantic County and will make this region better for families and businesses," said Atlantic County GOP Vice Chair Rosalie Baker. "I know this because I’ve seen how hard she’s already working for Atlantic County as lieutenant governor. Kim has helped grow the tourism industry each year she's been in office and as our state's tourism promoter-in-chief, she understands the challenges and opportunities for Atlantic County. She has been to South Jersey 1 out of every 3 days she's been lieutenant governor to help our businesses, residents and Republican candidates. That's the kind of hard work and dedication we need in the governor's office and why we strongly endorse Kim Guadagno."

Guadagno has now earned the official Republican Party line or slogan in Atlantic, Bergen, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Hudson, Monmouth, Morris, Ocean, Passaic, Salem and Warren. She has also surpassed the fundraising threshold to qualify for 2:1 matching matching funds.
